Arts Education Research

Ongoing research has shown that engagement in any of the arts nurtures the development of a child’s cognitive, social and personal competencies. Several independent studies have shown that increased years of enrollment of arts courses are positively correlated with higher SAT verbal and math scores, and studying the arts has been shown to benefit reading and language skills, mathematics skills, thinking skills, social skills, and the motivation to learn.
