Commissioner Regina Bouley Sweeten is the Archives and Special Collections Librarian at Eastern New Mexico University’s Golden Library in Portales. In her role as librarian, she has led programming to connect patrons with the arts through tours and hands-on projects. Bouley Sweeten served on the New Mexico Humanities Council Board from 2023-2025.
In her school years, Bouley Sweeten enjoyed visual arts, theatre, and dance classes. Her primary interest is now in textile arts (particularly those made with wool), but she also enjoys taking classes in and attending performances for other visual and performing arts.
