Miriam is a multi-disciplinary artist, educator, and the owner of Sterling Fine Art in Silver City, New Mexico. With a career spanning over 30 years in her chosen home of the Southwest, Miriam’s work is defined by a dual mastery of traditional painting and digital innovation.
As a Professor of Digital Tools for Artists and a freelance Graphic Designer through Fine Art Graphics, she bridges the gap between classical technique and modern technology. Miriam holds an MFA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and furthered her studies at the Institut D’Etudes Françaises pour Étudiants Étrangers. A dedicated advocate for the creative community, she also served for four years on the board of the ASMP New Mexico Chapter. Whether through her own canvas or facilitating others at her gallery, Miriam is a lifelong champion of the creative endeavor.
