Kiersten Fellrath, AIPP Project Coordinator

Kiersten Fellrath (she/her) is an Art in Public Places Project Coordinator, working with communities throughout New Mexico to acquire diverse artworks for public spaces. Her career has included work in corporate art collections, museums, contemporary art spaces and artist studios. From 2008 – 2019 she was a Curator and Vice President of the JPMorgan Chase Art Collection, New York where her responsibilities included curatorial, acquisitions, education, programs and collection management. She has served on the board of the Fire Island Artist Residency (FIAR), New York, NY, the first LGBTQ artist residency in the world, since 2018. She is passionate about creating space and opportunities for emerging artists and their communities.

Fellrath received her Masters of Fine Art from Christie’s Education, New York in Theory, the Art Market and Connoisseurship and her B.A. from Western Washington University, Bellingham, WA. She lives in Nambe Pueblo with her husband where she attempts to transform the desert into a lush garden and food forest.
