The Art in Public Places program uses the CaFÉ electronic application and selection process. There is no application fee for the project or to create an account on the system. Please note all materials must be submitted according to the specifications outlined on the CaFÉ website.
Prospectus #231 TIME: Taos 2.0
The Art in Public Places Program of New Mexico Arts seeks to commission up to four (4) temporary environmentally based artworks to be exhibited in four (4) locations in the gardens of the Taos Art Museum in Taos, New Mexico. Artwork should be environmentally sensitive and respond the theme of “wind.” This project is open to New Mexico residents only. Artists in all stages of their careers are encouraged to apply. Project amounts available between $1,000 and $5,000. The artist or artist team will be responsible for all fees and expenses: materials, equipment costs, labor, insurance, taxes, travel, installation, project plaque, and written and photographic documentation of the completed project. Up to four (4) artist/artist teams will be selected.
